When a 7-OH vendor says their products are “lab tested,” the next question should be: by which lab, and are they accredited?

What Is ISO/IEC 17025?

ISO/IEC 17025 is the international standard for testing and calibration laboratories. It certifies that a lab produces accurate, reproducible results using validated methods and trained personnel.

Why It Matters for 7-OH

Without proper accreditation, a lab’s results could be inaccurate — meaning the mg on the label might not match what’s in the product. ISO 17025 ensures that the COA you’re reading is trustworthy.

How to Verify Accreditation

1. Find the lab name on the COA
2. Look for the accreditation number
3. Verify on the accrediting body’s website (e.g., A2LA, ANAB, UKAS)
